The Warwick Historical Society will hold an evening of paranormal tales and other-worldly insight at the Spirited Warwick event at Baird’s Tavern, 103 Main Street, Warwick, on Thurs., Jan. 30 at 7 p.m., snow date Fri., Jan. 31.
Baird’s Tavern is one of the oldest structures in the Village of Warwick, erected by Francis Baird in 1766 and situated at a crossroads. Reportedly haunted and home to a great history, the building was an inn, tavern and general store, and the site of militia training during the Revolutionary War, and has since been a residence and an office. Currently, Baird’s Tavern is a lively working tavern on the main floor, and preserved in history by the Warwick Historical Society on the upper levels.
The event will feature a medium and a ghost investigator, both with years of experience in the paranormal examination field.
Spirited Warwick tickets are currently on sale for Society members for $25 per person, and will go on sale on Mon., Jan. 6 for $35 for non-members, and while supplies last. A cash bar is available and seating is limited. Call 986-3236 to make a reservation.
