Newly renovated and revived restaurant is again one of the most popular restaurants in the Hudson Valley.
First established in 1965, Ye Jolly Onion Inn, at 625 Glenwood Road in the heart of Pine Island, became one of the most well-known restaurant destinations in the region.
It was closed for a few recent years but reopened last November as The Jolly Onion Restaurant.
The renovated and revived restaurant is again one of the most familiar and popular restaurants in the Hudson Valley.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, local officials and members of the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce joined owners Chef Armand Vanderstigchel and Thomas Mastrantoni along with members of their staff and associates to celebrate the restaurant’s first anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The owners said the mission of The Jolly Onion is to provide a cozy and comfortable hub for the region, offering the finest quality, family style portions and heart-felt friendly service where quests are treated like family
The Jolly Onion of today serves mid-European cuisine with Dutch, Polish and German influences and a twist of French and northern Italian flavors for lunch and dinner in a casual setting Tuesdays through Sundays.
The restaurant will also host private parties and can accommodate more than 150 people in its spacious event space.
