For the week ending Sun., Oct. 6, the Warwick Fire Department (WFD) has responded to 341 calls for service to date.
This past week was another busy week for firefighters and the WFD can’t thank all of our members enough for all they do keeping our community of Warwick Fire Safe.
On Mon., Sept. 30, WFD companies completed work details and daily apparatus checks. On Tues., Oct. 1, the WFD held regular monthly company meetings. On Thurs., Oct. 3, Engine Company #3 held its Roast Beef Dinner.
On Fri., Oct. 4, the Warwick Fire Prevention Team started off Fire Prevention Week at the Touch A Truck hosted by the Sanfordville Elementary School PTA and a great job was done by all.
On Sat., Oct. 5, Warwick firefighters attended the Sugar Loaf Engine Company Octoberfest in Chester and a great time was had by all! Thank you to our brothers and sisters at the Chester FD, Sugar Loaf Engine Company.
On Sun., Oct. 6, all companies held a standby for Applefest. Thank you to the Applefest Committee for letting us have a couple of spots for our Fire Companies fundraising efforts.
Our Warwick Fire Prevention Week reminder to all residents is to please continue to check carbon monoxide and smoke detectors monthly to ensure they are working in the event of an emergency.
