Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Grand Re-Opening of the Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market. Now in its 26th year, the Market is excited to announce its opening day on Sun., May 12 in the South St. Parking Lot in the historic Village of Warwick from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will commence at 10:30 a.m. to officially kick off the market season.
Family-friendly specialty programs will be offered at the Market opening day as well as throughout the season. On May 12 the trio Wee Doggies will take the stage to perform acoustic bluegrass music. Amy Sweetman of AGRISCULPTURE will be hosting a monthly Youth Program, offering free activities for children. Kids are invited to “Make an Apron for Mom”, creating family fun while celebrating Mothers’ Day.
The market, which runs every Sunday now through Nov. 24 features farmers and vendors offering a wide variety of farm-fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, jams, jellies, baked goods and pastries, flowers, plants, honey, maple syrup, wine and soaps.
