The annual Community Showcase is a ‘Who’s who’ of the Warwick Valley area business community.
On Saturday, May 4, the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce held its 12th Annual Warwick Community Showcase in downtown Warwick.
The annual event showcases the “Who’s Who” in the Warwick Valley area business community.
Although it was a cloudy day with somewhat cooler temperatures than usual for this time of year, the turnout was still very good.
The annual event, subtitled “Kicking Off Spring in The Valley,” and held along Main Street and Railroad Avenue, showcased many area businesses, both storefront and home-based, introducing local products and services as well as networking opportunities.
Since its beginning, the showcase has provided a vibrant celebration for participants, while benefiting from the natural flow of visitors that crowd the downtown area in spring.
And everyone in the community was encouraged to come on down for the open-air festival.
Non-profit organizations were also invited to exhibit.
That day visitors had an opportunity to see what more than 70 vendors had to offer.
Children were also treated to a “Touch a Truck,” event courtesy of the Warwick Fire Department, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
Although many of the vendors do not have storefronts in downtown Warwick, the traffic generated by Community Showcase also benefited those that do.
The Warwick Valley Chamber encourages and supports new and existing businesses, offers professional opportunities in the area, facilitates new partnerships, offers networking, social and educational opportunities and promotes business growth and tourism.
