The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to host “Community Showcase” on Sat., May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a rain date of Sun., May 6. This super-charged event gives local businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the local community by lining Main St. and Railroad Ave. in the Village of Warwick.
This year’s Community Showcase will also feature entertainment for the entire family. Attendees will enjoy a variety of entertainment on the Railroad Green. Oakie Dokey the Clown will be giving a performance at 11 a.m. Enjoy acoustic music performed by students of The Rock Underground of Greenwood Lake at 12 noon; dance performances by D’Antono Dance Academy at 1 p.m.; and a strings performance by members of the Wire Choir.
In addition, the Warwick Fire Department will be on Railroad Ave. with Touch-a-Truck fire trucks, and The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. (T.A.R.A.) will be bring their mobile spay/neuter clinic to provide low cost services for cats. Appointments should be made prior to the Showcase by calling 343-1000. Check-in time will be between 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and the mobile clinic will be set up on Railroad Ave.
Pick up will be later the same day. The cost is $70 for each procedure and includes the surgery, a rabies vaccine, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and a penicillin shot. Warwick residents can obtain a certificate from the Warwick Valley Humane Society and only pay $25! Also available for an additional fee will be a distemper vaccine, flea/tick/ear mite products, a dewormer, and microchipping.
