Greenwood Lake has a new bookstore.
In April 2012 Thomas G. Roberts and partner Joseph John Justin opened Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe, a popular bookstore at 31 Main St. in the Village of Warwick.
On Monday, Nov. 2, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer, members of the Warwick Valley and Greenwood Lake Chambers of Commerce and relatives, friends and supporters joined Roberts and Justin for the grand opening of the second Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe in Greenwood Lake.
The new store at 89 Windermere Ave. is a full service bookstore with mostly new selections, but also used and vintage books along with a wide range of book-related merchandise.
The shop will also be offering a variety of programming by book clubs to book signings, poetry readings and children’s story times.
“It’s the perfect place for browsers of all ages,” said Roberts. “Step into a Victorianesque atmosphere where, who knows, you just might bump into Harry Potter or Charles Dickens between the wood stained shelves.”
The Greenwood Lake location also features books on recreational activities such as sailing and hiking.
