The Village of Warwick Merchant’s Guild has scheduled their 17th Annual “Ladies Night Out” for Thursday, August 21 from 2:00 – 9:00 pm in downtown Warwick to benefit Safe Homes of Orange County, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate all forms of domestic violence through education, outreach and provision of services to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

“Ladies Night Out” is a popular summer event attracting people from near and far, as downtown Warwick buzzes with activity and excitement.  The Village of Warwick Merchants Guild invites everyone, but in particular, the ladies, to come downtown and indulge themselves with specials and treats offered by participating businesses.  Whether strolling through stores offering extended shopping hours, tasting the flavors of the fine restaurants, dancing to the sounds from our DJ, or simply relaxing at one of Warwick’s many outdoor cafes, “Ladies Night Out” is a night to join with friends and family for an evening of summer fun.

One of the most popular aspects of “Ladies Night Out” is the crowning of a “Queen for a Day” by our esteemed Mayor Michael Newhard.  In recognition of a special lady and her generous spirit, caring heart and selfless nature, the Queen receives a generous basket overflowing with gifts provided by local businesses. Completed nominations in 250 words or less must be submitted to Style Counsel, 19 Main Street, by Saturday August 9th, for consideration by the Village of Warwick Merchants Guild.

The Railroad Green will be hosting several activities such as a women’s self defense demonstration pole dancing, and Zumba Dance Fitness. In addition to the many specialty boutique stores in Warwick, there are also outside street vendors set up right on the sidewalks selling gifts, goods and services. The focus is on Women’s Health, Fitness, Beauty and Fashion.
