It’s an important milestone for any new business and a strong indication that it’s been welcomed in the community. Next Saturday, Sept. 1, the Warwick Foot Spa and Tea Bar, at the corner of South and First streets in the Village of Warwick, will celebrate its first anniversary. And from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Foot Spa and Tea Bar is inviting everyone for a special celebration where they are offering a foot reflexology session, 15-minutes for $15. There will also be raffles and refreshments. Reservations are highly recommended. “We’ve been so fortunate to have created a business that the community has embraced,” said owner Jo-Ann Daly, who is a certified reflexologist. “We know the benefits of reflexology and hope that even more people will give it a try and allow us to be a part of their wellness journey.” Daly said that problems of the feet can result from wear and tear or as a result of other health problems and encouraged everyone to consult their physician or a podiatrist if they experience any foot problems. She added that reflexology, which is offered at the Foot Spa and Tea Bar, can help alleviate the stress that is put on the feet and also has other health benefits. And that it is a holistic modality that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Using slight pressure on these reflexes may help to get the body back in balance. The Foot Spa and Tea Bar welcomes both women and men who have found foot reflexology to be a welcome de-stressor, as well as an overall health enhancement.
